52 on Friday – Circles
Happy Friday! The 52 week project theme for this week is Circles. As it happens, this theme could not have come at a better time. My travels this week brought me to Lake Placid, NY, and if you remember the 1980 Olympics, you will know exactly why it was perfect timing. 🙂
Lake Placid picked up 18″ of snow with the nor’easter that blew through a couple of days ago. Being that the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics were held here, I thought it was only fitting to show the Olympic rings during a blizzard.
Having nothing whatsoever to do with Lake Placid or the Olympics, there was something else that happened this week that might go with the circle theme…circle-of-life that is…
I was outside playing with Harvey in the snow and snapping a few pictures when the following happened. I threw a snowball and watched him chase after it, plowing through the snow, then rolling in the snow, and eating the snow. This scene played out a couple of times, and he was acting so goofy that I had to photograph it. But, on the last snowball chase, something else happened. I saw something go flying in the air that didn’t look like snow…maybe a pine cone? So I snap a couple more pictures and notice something running! What the heck?! Turns out to be a mouse. 🙁
I hope you enjoyed the theme this week! Next up in our blog ring is Blue Amrich Studio from Boston, Massachusetts.
Until next time, have joy in your heart, a smile on your face, and a dog by your side!

What amazing photos! The mouse chase is unbelievable. Great tie in the the theme.
Thank you, Carol! I really debated adding the mouse photo… 🙂
wow love the first image!
and the second too omg that mouse – poor thing looks terrified
Thanks so much, Jennifer! It was bitter cold when Harvey and I went out to take that picture, so it was a one shot deal! 🙂
Wow, the mouse image is priceless! Love the top one, too!
Thank you, Kathryn! What are the chances of that happening on the same week we are doing circles?!
Love these two shots! Great job!
Thank you so much, Mary!!
Love, love, love!!! That Harvey is the CUTEST little Dickens!!! Did the mouse get away??? 😀 Oh, I hope………….
🙂 Thanks, Marna! I wish I could say that he did, but sadly he did not. 🙁 Although I have to say, I think Harvey felt pretty bad. He was precious the way he was very gently nosing the mouse and looking up at me with the saddest eyes I have ever seen.
Hmmm. Knew those circles would some how come in play this week :). Oh, poor mouse, did he make a good escape or did Harvey prove his hunting skills?
Sadly, Shelley, the mouse did not escape. 🙁
